PIECES

New series in collage made from reworked enamel on copper.

To recycle materials “discarded” paintings are cut on the bench shear into smaller rectangular pieces before additional enamel is added.

A clear “flux” coat of enamel is applied to the cut pieces and then set on top of the kiln to allow the adhesive to dry before firing.

Designing the finished reworked enamel pieces into a collage, planning where each piece will be placed.

Finished. The reworked enamel is mounted on a wood painting panel utilizing spacers of various heights between the pieces and the panel.

Ready to collage; reworked pieces of my “discarded” enamel on copper.
