Enamel on copper pendant with 2 mm black leather cord, sterling lobster clasp, 2 1/4” long x 1 5/8” wide.
Similar to my Pine series of paintings the colors are a combination of very dark green-black, bright green and red with a small bit of teal and orange.
I fold form dimensional lines into copper sheet and trim the edges to shape my “canvas”. I apply liquid and sifted enamels to build up five or more layers of color. Each color is fired in a kiln at approx. 1400 degrees before the next layer is added. The surface is etched and hand sanded to a smooth matte finish.
