Fall

It’s Fall. It’s daylight savings time as of today. I’m sure my mind and body will be feeling the effects of that for the next few weeks, although it’s hard to realize what’s going on really. Fall is beautiful and also harsh. I do enjoy the absence of hot, humid weather and the arrival of local apples and squash. The leaves are everywhere, I try in vain to clear out driveways and walkways. The first snowfall will be a sigh of relief that I finally have to be finished trying to clear the leaves.

This is also the time of year when I realize I’m not only behind on getting ready for Winter but also the holiday season. So far, I am only planning on attending one, in person, holiday sale and it is at the Maine College of Art & Design. This is the first year it will be back at the Porteous building since the beginning of Covid. I also have an on-line pop-up sale and a few paintings at local galleries. And my work is also available at the Hole in the Wall.

HAPPY FALL!
